Rallying is an unpredictable sport. It brutaly puts the competitors into action in an incredible variety of playgrounds (tarmac, gravel), weather conditions and in idyllic landscapes. For anyone involved in this sport, it is a unique challenge with so many stories to tell!
It’s been clear for a long time that it was far easier for us to share these stories thanks to a photograph, through our eyes, instead of with words. This is the starting point of Eyes of Rally, our passionate journey as photographers in the World Rally Championship for almost a decade.
Bored of seeing so many pictures taken, instantly shared, “consumed”, mainly on digital platforms and forgotten as quickly as they were published, we have elected to showcase our work through a fine book.
What better than a book to show off our personal eye of rally photography, the one that favours the aesthetic and original side of the scenery. Such a timeless support will enable to enjoy in a unique way colours, textures, light and contrast.
It is neither about compiling our annual “best-of” nor detailing the sporting results of each round, but instead to visually enhance all aspects of this sport through our own pictures.
This premium object seeks to make yourself feel the special stage atmosphere. From the choice of the paper and the cover manufacturing technique to the selection of the format and the layout building, each detail has been carefully checked out.
And who knows? Perhaps this Volume 1 is only the starting point of a long adventure?
With the aim of promoting our treasures, we have chosen a premium support. The renowned French printing company Escourbiac will be in charge of the printout. There is no more logical choice than relying on a company that is a multiple “Cadrat d’or” prize winner (the oldest and most prestigious French printing prize) and whose employees are true paper perfectionists.
